Travel Agent Finder has opened its members-only Travel Trade Connect platform to the broader Australian travel industry, allowing suppliers, tourism boards and travel support businesses to connect directly with independent travel advisors.
Previously available only within the Travel Agent Finder member portal, the trade directory has operated behind the scenes since 2021 as a resource for travel advisors to access supplier contacts, training and industry information.
Directory expands beyond agent members
Travel suppliers, cruise lines, tour operators, tourism boards, insurers, wholesalers, destination management companies and travel technology providers can now join the platform through an annual subscription, which includes a seven-day free trial.
The platform enables suppliers to create business profiles, promote training programs and events, and participate in the Specialist Badge Program, which recognises agent accreditation and expertise.
Supporting Australia’s independent travel advisors
Founder Anna Shannon said Travel Trade Connect was originally developed to help home-based and independent advisors quickly locate supplier contacts, product information and business resources in one searchable location.
Travel Agent Finder said the platform currently serves around 800 travel agent members, the majority of whom operate home-based or mobile businesses, with the trade directory attracting more than 5,000 page views each month.
