Travelmarvel releases 2028/29 Egypt program

Travelmarvel has released its 2028/29 Egypt, Jordan and Morocco program, extending the itineraries it launched for 2027. The new season adds an Alexandria extension and gives advisors inventory for clients booking well ahead.

All Egypt departures are led by qualified Egyptologist tour directors and include a seven-night Nile cruise aboard Travelmarvel Sirius, the operator’s recently refurbished river ship.

Nile cruise and Abu Simbel flights included

Egypt itineraries begin in Cairo, with a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum, before the seven-night cruise between Luxor and Aswan.

Inclusions on the cruise are:

  • a drinks package with lunch and dinner
  • a Galabeya party and folklore performance on board
  • a felucca sail past Kitchener’s Island
  • return flights to Abu Simbel

Including the Abu Simbel flights means one of the more costly excursions is already in the package price, which can make the product easier to compare with competitors.

Three itineraries from $6,895

The program includes three itineraries, the 11-day Treasures of Egypt and the Nile, roundtrip from Cairo, from $6,895 per person, the 18-day Treasures of Egypt and the Nile with Hidden Jordan, which adds Jordan to the Egypt and Nile itinerary, from $10,895 per person and Treasures of Egypt and Morocco, from $13,195 per person. Pricing is current as at 1 October 2026 and subject to change.

Alexandria extension added

New for 2028/29 is a two-night Alexandria extension, with accommodation at the Steigenberger Cecil Hotel. Guided sightseeing includes:

  • the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa
  • Qaitbay Citadel
  • a visit to the El Alamein War Cemetery

The El Alamein visit adds relevance for Australian travellers interested in military history.
