It seems a long time coming, but the United Kingdom will impose a 14-day self-isolation protocol for all arrivals in the country from 8 June 2020, with fines up to GPB1000 for people who do not comply.
Anyone entering the UK from 8 June will be required to provide contact details on arrival at any airport, port or border and will be required to self-quarantine for 14 days. and face spot checks and fines of nearly $2000 if they do not comply.
“We expect the vast majority of people do to the right thing. We know the vast majority will act responsibly. We will not allow a small minority, a reckless minority, to endanger us all,” said British Home Secretary, Priti Patel.
