The staged relaunch follows a year-long rebuilding and refurbishment program, restoring one of Vanuatu’s best-known waterfront properties to its central position within the capital’s tourism and hospitality landscape.
The Grand will re-emerge with a refreshed identity that blends its long-standing elegance with renewed vibrancy — a move warmly anticipated by the local community, visitors and the wider travel trade.
Casino to reopen ahead of full hotel launch
The 4 December casino reopening marks the first phase of the revitalisation, restoring a key entertainment venue in the heart of Port Vila. The hotel will follow in March 2026, unveiling upgraded rooms, enhanced service and modernised design features.
Management says the phased approach reflects the property’s commitment to quality following its extensive restoration. With uninterrupted harbour views, generous balconies, European marble ensuites, floor-to-ceiling windows and high-speed connectivity, the updated hotel aims to elevate the guest experience across its 74 rooms and suites.
