Administrators for ailing airline Virgin Australia, Deloitte, has whittled down interested parties into a shortlist of four bidders putting their hats in the ring to become the new owners of the airline.
Boston-based Bain Capital is a global leader in private investment firms; Melbourne-based BGH Capital, is one of the largest private equity funds in Australia and New Zealand; Phoenix-based Indigo Partners, is a private equity firm known for investing in low-cost airline carriers; and New York-based Cyprus Capital Partners is an independently-owned investment advisory company.
