Virtuoso evolves senior leadership to support global growth

Virtuoso has announced key leadership changes as part of a broader global strategy to support its growing network of luxury travel agencies and partners around the world.

Cheryl Bunker to lead global memberships

Luxury travel veteran Cheryl Cheney Bunker has been appointed senior vice president, global memberships. With over 25 years in the industry and 17 years at Virtuoso, Bunker previously served as vice president, global member relations. In that role, she provided strategic direction for over 1,200 agency locations and more than 20,000 advisors across 58 countries.

Her new role will see her focus on strengthening Virtuoso’s membership base worldwide, driving deeper engagement and ensuring the group’s rigorous standards are upheld across all nine global regions.

Cory Hagopian transitions to lead global partnerships

Cory Hagopian, who joined Virtuoso in 2022, has been named senior vice president, global partnerships. He will now concentrate exclusively on partner relationships and sales strategy across all sectors, including cruise lines, hotels, tourism boards, tour operators, air, car services, insurance and Virtuoso’s new ultra-high-net-worth vertical.

The move supports Virtuoso’s efforts to regionalise its partner engagement model, enhancing the value and service provided to partners through more localised and strategic relationships.

Leadership aligned for global scale

Brad Bourland, Chief Operating Officer at Virtuoso, said the changes were designed to align with the company’s expanding global footprint and focus on excellence.

“As Virtuoso continues to expand, we are more committed than ever to ensuring the success of our members, advisors and partners,” he said.

“Cheryl’s full-time focus on strategic growth allows Cory to dedicate his energy to delivering greater partner value and elevating satisfaction across our global network.”

Both appointments are now in effect. Bunker will remain based in Windermere, Florida, while Hagopian continues from Fort Lauderdale. They will report directly to COO Brad Bourland.
