Western Australia’s tourism update for September includes All Nippon Airways moving to daily Tokyo–Perth flights, a three-year WWE partnership securing multiple Perth events, and a run of new accommodation and event openings for advisors to build into 2026 and 2027 itineraries.
ANA daily flights lead aviation update

All Nippon Airways will increase its Tokyo–Perth service from three weekly flights to daily operations from 25 October 2026, running through to 27 March 2027. The route is one of 22 non-stop international services connecting Western Australia to key global markets, giving advisors more capacity to work with for Japan-Australia itineraries during the период.
WWE has signed a three-year deal bringing Weekend Takeovers to Perth’s RAC Arena from 2026 to 2028, each featuring a Friday Night SmackDown, a premium live event and Monday Night RAW. The first weekend runs from 11 to 14 December, with fan-facing activity including a WWE Superstore and meet-and-greets extending beyond the arena, supporting hotel and hospitality demand across the city during each event window.
New accommodation adds inventory across the state

The Fox Den Mukinbudin will open in WA’s Wheatbelt region from 1 February 2027, offering self-contained eco cabins on a working farm roughly a 3.5-hour drive from Perth, positioned for wildflower season and stargazing-focused travellers. In Collie, Voltage Lodge has opened as a 30-guest adventure lodge built inside a heritage Collie Co-op building, targeting the region’s mountain biking and hiking trail market with bike storage, e-bike charging and a repair station.
Karijini National Park has completed a $2.1 million infrastructure upgrade at Knox Gorge, adding a raised boardwalk, accessible pathway, expanded parking and new visitor facilities. Pearl Expeditions has launched a 14-day Ultimate Paspaley Package for 2027, combining a stay at El Questro Homestead, a 10-night Kimberley coast cruise aboard the Paspaley Pearl, an aerial excursion over Mitchell Falls or Kuri Bay, and a stay in Broome.
Events calendar spans wine, sport and culture

Margaret River recorded its first-ever perfect 100-point wine score at the International Wine and Spirit Competition, awarded to House of Cards’ Ace High Chardonnay 2025, alongside 29 gold medals for the region. The Margaret River Region Open Studios runs from 12 to 27 September, spanning a 300-kilometre creative trail from Busselton to Augusta.
Perth’s major event calendar includes the Wallabies v Springboks Test at Optus Stadium on 27 September, the UCI Gravel World Championships in Nannup from 4 to 11 October, marking the event’s first staging outside Europe, and Rugby League World Cup double-headers at HBF Park on 17 and 24 October. The NRMA Insurance West Test between Australia and New Zealand runs at Optus Stadium from 9 to 13 December, with premium packages including private suites now on sale.
Cultural additions include Moortabiny, Kings Park’s first drone show, running from 2 to 4 October as the finale of the Everlasting Kings Park Festival, and Jackson Pollock’s Blue Poles, which will exhibit at the Art Gallery of Western Australia for the first time in April 2027.
For advisors, the spread of new aviation capacity, accommodation and major events gives multiple entry points for building WA itineraries across food and wine, adventure, sport and cultural travel through 2026 and into 2027.
