Hotel X Brisbane is making waves this summer with a bold wellness activation – the world’s largest hotel ice bath.
On Thursday, 5 December, the hotel will transform its stunning rooftop pool into a 15-metre-long bath filled with four tonnes of ice, offering a truly invigorating way to start the season. With breathtaking 270-degree views of Brisbane’s skyline as the backdrop, locals and hotel guests alike are invited to take the plunge and embrace the refreshing benefits of an icy dip.
This unique event reflects Hotel X’s commitment to wellness and providing authentic, community-focused travel experiences that showcase the creativity and vibrancy of Brisbane.
A wellness experience like no other
The rooftop ice bath, created in partnership with Bells Pure Ice, will be open from 6:30 am to 8:30 am. Participants will dive into a chilled bath of ice cubes while the sun rises over the city, enjoying a rejuvenating wellness activity that’s perfect for Brisbane’s summer mornings.
After braving the cold, attendees can warm up with pastries at Iris Rooftop Bar, paired with premium beverages from Tea Tonic and Allpress Coffee. This exclusive experience promises not only a refreshing start to the day but also a chance to connect with the community in one of Brisbane’s most iconic rooftop settings.
Why try an ice bath?
Ice baths are celebrated for their wide range of health benefits, from relieving sore muscles and reducing inflammation to boosting immunity and improving mental health. Beyond the wellness perks, the event supports an important cause: funds raised during the activation will go to LIVIN, a non-profit organisation dedicated to breaking the stigma around mental health.
LIVIN Founder Casey Lyons shared the importance of this partnership, saying, “We are grateful for Hotel X’s support in raising much-needed funds for mental health education programs in high schools.
