Accor signs Novotel for Castle Hill

Accor has signed an agreement with developer Reve Group to operate Novotel Sydney Castle Hill. The 143-room new-build hotel is scheduled to open in early 2029, adding full-service, internationally branded accommodation to Sydney’s Hills District.

The hotel will sit within the Nova Rêve mixed-use precinct in the Castle Hill town centre. It is within walking distance of Castle Towers and Castle Hill Metro Station.

Conference facilities target corporate demand

Novotel Sydney Castle Hill will include:

  • restaurants, cafes and bars, including an elevated dining venue
  • a fitness centre and pool
  • conference and events facilities

Accor said the hotel will serve corporate travellers, conference and event delegates, project teams and leisure guests, as investment in transport, commercial and residential infrastructure continues across Sydney’s north-west.

For TMCs and event planners, the property gives a branded, full-service option in a part of Greater Sydney where supply of this kind is limited.

Accor Chief Operating Officer Pacific Adrian Williams said hotels are playing a growing role in mixed-use developments.

“The signing of Novotel Sydney Castle Hill reflects our confidence in the future of the Hills District and the growing opportunity for hotels to play an important role within mixed-use precincts, bringing together accommodation, dining, meetings and social spaces that serve visitors and local communities alike,” Williams said.

Hotel anchors Nova Rêve precinct

Reve Group is a Hills District-based developer with more than 30 years’ experience in residential and mixed-use projects across Sydney. Alongside the hotel, the Nova Rêve precinct will include:

  • 253 apartments across three towers, rising to 23 levels at the tallest point
  • more than 1,600 square metres of ground-level retail and cafes
  • almost 0.4 hectares of landscaped communal gardens

Architecture and interiors are by Turner, with landscape design by Land and Form Studios.

Reve Group Managing Director Sam Kassis said the hotel would give the district “somewhere to hold a conference, a wedding or a family celebration, and somewhere for visitors to stay, without leaving Castle Hill”.

Pacific pipeline continues to grow

The signing adds to Accor’s development pipeline in the Pacific, where the group operates more than 420 hotels, resorts and extended-stay properties. Novotel has more than 620 hotels across 70 countries.
