Celestyal executives visited Sydney last week to celebrate the cruise line’s tenth anniversary, hosting a special dinner at Aalia with Australian travel agents and distribution partners.
Recognising industry support
The event was an opportunity for Celestyal chief commercial officer Lee Haslett and vice president of business development Janet Parton to acknowledge the local industry’s role in the cruise line’s growth.
“We had a record year in 2024 with bookings up 37 percent in the Australian market. With the vast majority of our business coming via our trade channels, our travel agent partners are critical to our success and we are grateful for their support,” Haslett said.

Looking ahead to future sailings
Celestyal recently wrapped up its first inaugural season in the Arabian Gulf, marking the company’s first year-round cruise program. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and Haslett is looking forward to welcoming more Australian guests on board.
“As we wrap up our first inaugural season in the Arabian Gulf, we were thrilled with the response to our first year-round program of cruising, and look forward to welcoming more Australian guests on board when we return to the region with both ships from December.”
