Elysium Hotels has opened Elysium Manly, converting the former Manly Pacific into a 213-room luxury property following a $40 million investment, and giving the Australian brand its second hotel alongside Elysium Noosa Resort.
Conversion follows $40 million refurbishment

The hotel occupies the former Manly Pacific site opposite Manly Beach, around 20 minutes by ferry from Sydney’s CBD. The transition included a $30 million refurbishment of rooms and suites by Coco Republic and an $8.5 million build of new restaurant Cibaria, designed by Luchetti Krelle.
New inventory includes the 167-square-metre Elysium Suite, a one-bedroom penthouse with a private terrace, infrared sauna and eight-seat dining table; six Wellness Suites, each with an ocean-facing terrace and infrared sauna; and nine Coastal Two-Bedroom Suites at 73 square metres, aimed at families and longer stays. A dedicated Elysium Floor on level six adds a VIP host service across preferences, dining reservations and in-room arrangements.
Dining is anchored by Cibaria, an Italian restaurant from Alessandro and Anna Pavoni that has already earned a Chef Hat, alongside bar and lounge 55 North and all-day dining venue Bistro Manly. The property also has a rooftop magnesium mineral pool and conference and events spaces.
Brand now spans two Australian coastal markets

Elysium Manly is independently managed by Elysium Hospitality, while sister property Elysium Noosa Resort, which opened in December, is managed by Accor under its MGallery Collection. Both hotels are owned in partnership between the Karedis and Laundy families.
Dylan Cole, Elysium Manly general manager, said the conversion introduces a new service tier to the property. “We have an extraordinary location in Manly and the ambition is to create a hotel experience that genuinely lives up to it,” Cole said.
For advisors selling Sydney and beachside luxury product, Elysium Manly adds a new high-end option in a market with limited true luxury inventory directly on Manly Beach, alongside an established food and beverage offering already recognised with a Chef Hat.
