David Farrar, currently Head of Sales for Collette Australia, will step into a newly created role as Sales Engagement Manager, Australia this August, as part of a strategic shift within the global tour company.
After nearly three years leading Collette’s sales efforts in Australia, Farrar has chosen to transition into a role that supports a healthier work-life balance.
“This decision comes from David’s desire to travel a little less, focus a little more on health, and spend more time with his family — priorities we wholeheartedly support,” said Karen Deveson, Collette Managing Director.
“David’s impact on our team and the footprint he has created for Collette in Australia cannot be overstated. We are set up with a fantastic trajectory, and while we will miss having him in the Head of Sales role, we are incredibly excited for this next phase of his journey.”
Supporting agents and staying connected
In his new role, Farrar will continue to be a familiar face within the industry, representing Collette at conferences and trade shows, and leading the Collette Travel Agent Network (TAN) through webinars and industry updates.
“I feel very lucky to be able to reset some lifestyle priorities and yet stay working for a company I love,” said Farrar. “We have established a great team, and I look forward to supporting the new Head of Sales in taking the business to even greater heights.”
Collette will begin its search for a new Head of Sales Australia immediately.
