Likuliku Lagoon Resort in Fiji is set to welcome guests back from 1 May 2025, following a FJD$10 million (AUD$7 million) revitalisation. The adults-only resort has introduced a range of enhancements, including a new dining concept, an immersive conservation hub, upgraded bures, and sustainability-focused infrastructure.
Saluwaki: A New Culinary Experience
The resort has unveiled Saluwaki, a 28-seat restaurant offering Fijian-inspired Asian tapas. With dishes like ember-roasted walu and handmade squid ink noodles, the menu highlights locally sourced ingredients, some from the resort’s own gardens and surrounding waters. Saluwaki provides an intimate, once-per-stay dining experience, complementing the resort’s existing culinary offerings.
Na Vanua Conservation Hub
In partnership with the Ahura Resorts Conservation Foundation, the new Na Vanua Conservation Hub offers guests hands-on opportunities to engage with local ecosystems and Fijian culture. Activities include reforestation, mangrove restoration, coral planting, and community engagement with local villages. The hub embodies the foundation’s pillars: Above the Sea, Below the Sea, and Community, reflecting the resort’s commitment to sustainability and cultural preservation.
Enhanced Accommodations and Facilities

All bures have been refreshed, with 11 Beachfront Bures now featuring private plunge pools, increasing the Deluxe Beachfront Bure category to 29. Interiors have been updated with new wallpaper, bathroom fixtures, and additional amenities. The Over-Water Bures have also received extra luxe bathroom amenities. The resort has completed environmentally friendly synthetic thatching on all bures, enhancing sustainability efforts.
Public areas have seen significant upgrades, including a new outdoor terrace deck at the Fijiana restaurant, a complete makeover of the Dua Tale Bar, and refurbished public area bathrooms. High-speed Wi-Fi capacity has been boosted with additional access points connected to Starlink Satellite, and the bars and restaurants now feature a new sound system with curated music.
Upcoming Sustainability Initiatives
In June 2025, the resort plans to open a water bottling and production plant, producing still and sparkling water for both Likuliku and its sister resort, Malolo Island Resort. The water will be presented in recycled branded glass bottles made in the resorts’ own recycling plant and supplied complimentary daily in all rooms.
