HA celebrates Lei Day with lowest fare to Honolulu

Hawaiian Airlines has kicked off Lei Day and its 21st anniversary of flying to Australia by launching its lowest all-inclusive fares between Sydney and Honolulu, starting from just AUD$921 return.

The ‘Month of Lei’ sale, which runs from 1 to 21 May 2025, coincides with the vibrant Lei Day celebrations in Hawaiʻi—a long-standing tradition first held on 1 May 1928 to honour the islands’ cultural heritage and spirit of aloha. The fare release also marks 21 years since Hawaiian Airlines first commenced operations between Australia and Hawaiʻi.

Lowest fare to Honolulu from Australia

The special return fare of AUD$921 applies to flights from Sydney to Honolulu in Main Cabin, for travel between 10 May 2025 and 31 March 2026. The all-inclusive fare includes taxes, meals, beverages, in-flight entertainment, and a generous baggage allowance of 23kg checked and 11kg carry-on.

Passengers will also enjoy complimentary high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi on board, free movies and TV, and authentic Hawaiian hospitality from the moment they step on board.

Deals on neighbour island travel

For Aussies keen to explore beyond Oʻahu, Hawaiian Airlines is also offering discounted return flights from Honolulu to Maui, Hawaiʻi Island and Kauaʻi from just AUD$135.

Hawaiian Airlines currently operates five weekly nonstop flights from Sydney to Honolulu on a 278-seat Airbus A330 featuring 18 Premium Cabin lie-flat seats, 68 Extra Comfort seats and 192 Main Cabin seats. Flights depart Sydney at 9.40pm and arrive in Honolulu at 11.30am the same day—perfect for making the most of your first day in paradise.

More U.S. connections with Alaska Airlines

As part of the Alaska Air Group, Hawaiian Airlines now offers Aussies access to three times as many U.S. destinations through Alaska Airlines’ expansive network. Travellers can enjoy a convenient Honolulu stopover on their way to or from the mainland U.S., while loyalty members can earn and redeem miles across both airlines.
