LATAM Airlines and Visit Brasil have joined forces to showcase Brazil to the Australian travel trade, as demand for the South American destination continues to grow.
The organisations hosted a VIP event at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art on 4 August, bringing together more than 50 travel advisors, tourism partners, operators, trade media and industry representatives.
Australian demand for Brazil continues to grow

LATAM Country Manager – Oceania Alberto Chico Garcia said bookings from Australia to Brazil have increased by more than 50 per cent year-on-year.
“We’ve seen our bookings from Australia to Brazil increase over 50 per cent year on year, so this collaboration with Visit Brasil comes at the perfect time,” Garcia said.
LATAM currently operates daily services from Sydney and Melbourne to Santiago, with onward connections to more than 60 destinations across Brazil. The airline said the arrival of new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft later this year will further expand connectivity within the country.
Trade partners experience Brazilian culture

Guests enjoyed a Brazilian-inspired lunch, samba performances and destination presentations from LATAM, Visit Brasil and the Foz do Iguaçu Tourism Department, aimed at strengthening destination knowledge and sales opportunities.
Eclipse Travel General Manager Hilary Dubyk won return flights for two to São Paulo, along with accommodation and experiences in Foz do Iguaçu.
LATAM also highlighted upcoming product enhancements, including the completion of its Premium Business cabin retrofit and the rollout of onboard Wi-Fi across its fleet in 2026, followed by the introduction of Premium Economy in 2027.
Visit Brasil also outlined plans for major international events in 2027, including the FIFA Women’s World Cup and WTM Latin America.
