The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) has unveiled the finalists for the Voted Business Categories in the 2026 National Travel Industry Awards (NTIAs), following a record level of industry participation.
More than 21,000 votes were cast by over 2,200 voters across 13 publicly voted categories, making this year’s awards the most strongly supported to date.
Record voting highlights industry engagement
The finalists span categories recognising tour operators, wholesalers, tourism offices, accommodation providers, airlines, cruise operators, car rental companies, reservations teams and travel support services.
The Voted Business Categories include:
- Most Outstanding Tour Operator – Specialised
- Most Outstanding Tour Operator – Global
- Most Outstanding Wholesaler – Product/Service
- Most Outstanding Wholesaler – Destination/Experience
- Most Popular Tourism Office
- Most Popular Accommodation Group/Chain
- Most Popular Airline – Online
- Most Popular Airline – Offline
- Most Popular Ocean Cruise Operator
- Most Popular River Cruise Operator
- Most Popular Car Rental Operator
- Most Popular Reservations/Groups Team
- Most Outstanding Travel Support Service
Winners to be announced in October
The winners will be revealed at the 2026 National Travel Industry Awards, to be held at Crown Melbourne on 10 October.
ATIA CEO Dean Long said the increasing number of votes reflected the travel industry’s continued support for the awards.
“The number of votes for the NTIAs keeps growing every year, and it’s great to see the whole travel community engaging with the NTIAs,” Long said.
“The finalists for 2026, and what they achieved this year, represent the highest standards of passion, professionalism and dedication in the travel industry.”
