South African Airways (SAA) will include sporting equipment in its revised free baggage allowance policy on tickets issued on or after 1 November 2019.
Currently Sporting equipment within the specified dimensions are allowed free of charge over and above the normal free baggage allowance. If the free baggage allowance is exceeded, the standard excess baggage charges as reflected in South Africa Airways baggage policy will apply.
Tickets issued prior 01 November 2019 for travel on/after 01 November 2019 will not be affected and sporting equipment within specific dimensions will be allowed free of charge over and above the normal free baggage allowance.
Tickets reissued on/after 01 November 2019 with the original ticket issued on/before 01 November 2019 will not be affected by the change.
