ntrepid Travel is expanding its focus on younger travellers, announcing new itineraries, fresh research and a global marketing campaign as demand for its 18 to 35s product range continues to grow.
Bookings for Intrepid’s youth travel range are already up 14 per cent into 2027, prompting the company to expand its offering with 16 new itineraries for 2026 and further growth planned next year.
New itineraries target experience-led travel

Since launching in 2018, Intrepid’s 18 to 35s portfolio has grown to 81 trips across 59 countries, catering to travellers seeking immersive, locally led experiences rather than traditional youth holidays.
New additions include the nine-day Essential Uganda: Gorillas and Chimps itinerary and the 11-day Essential Sri Lanka tour, alongside a broader range of active adventures, wildlife encounters and cultural journeys.
Research highlights changing travel priorities

The expansion is supported by new research commissioned by Intrepid, surveying more than 8,000 people across Australia, the UK, the US and Canada.
The study found 87 per cent of respondents said responsible travel influences how they choose to explore the world, while 83 per cent want to visit destinations they do not typically see on social media. Another 77 per cent believe travelling with a local guide leads to a richer experience and 67 per cent would prioritise lesser-known destinations over crowded tourism hotspots.
Erica Kritikides, General Manager of Experiences at Intrepid Travel, said younger travellers were increasingly seeking authentic, purpose-driven experiences rather than simply ticking destinations off a list.
“We’re seeing strong growth in demand for our 18 to 35s range, with bookings currently up 14 per cent into 2027. As more young people seek experiences that feel authentic, adventurous and purpose-driven, we’re continuing to invest in products and campaigns that meet them where they are and inspire them to go further.”
New campaign puts travellers at the centre

Supporting the expanded range is Intrepid’s new global brand campaign, All In, which showcases spontaneous moments, local connections and authentic experiences rather than bucket-list landmarks. The campaign reflects the growing demand among younger travellers for meaningful, locally led adventures.
The expanded product range and campaign reinforce Intrepid’s continued investment in the youth travel market as Australians increasingly seek responsible, immersive travel experiences.
