Solomon Airlines has issued an update on its flight operations to and from Vanuatu following the recent earthquake and feedback from local stakeholders.
The airline is working closely with affected passengers to minimise disruption and provide alternative travel arrangements.
Flight cancellations and rescheduling
The changes will impact flights on Wednesday 18 December and Thursday 19 December 2024. Passengers on affected flights will be rebooked on alternative services.
Revised schedule:
- IE722 (18 December): Cancelled. Passengers rebooked on IE722, 20 December.
- IE710 (18 December): Cancelled. Passengers rebooked on IE710, 20 December.
- IE711 (19 December): Cancelled. Passengers rebooked on IE711, 21 December.
- IE723 (19 December): Cancelled. Passengers rebooked on IE723, 21 December.
- IE726 (19 December): Brisbane to Santo to Port Vila and IE718 Port Vila to Brisbane will operate as Brisbane to Santo to Brisbane only, excluding Port Vila.
Passengers affected by these changes can access rebooking or refunds under Solomon Airlines’ normal schedule change policy. Further details are available on the airline’s Conditions of Carriage.
Options for Port Vila travel
Solomon Airlines is offering flexibility for passengers booked to or from Port Vila for travel until 5 January 2025. Options include:
- Full refunds.
- Free date changes.
- Cancellation with tickets held in credit for 12 months from the date of issue.
